Rhode Island Veterinary Technician of the Year!

We all know that our Veterinarians rely heavily on the expertise and compassionate care shown by technicians and support staff. Technicians are the unsung heroes in veterinary medicine, often coming to know their patients so well that they pick up on subtle changes in patient conditions that avert problems and save lives.

In an effort to show appreciation to these valued colleagues, the RIVTA Executive Board members are pleased to announce the Veterinary Technician of the Year Award. Please take a moment to nominate a veterinary technician whose exemplary efforts should be recognized with this award. Nominations will be accepted from October 1st through November 1^st and announced in the Newsletter and at the RIVMA Annual Meeting in December in Newport.

The Vet Tech of the Year will receive one year of membership at no cost and also complimentary registration to the RIVTA Symposium in March!

Guidelines for Vet Tech of the Year Nominations:

Nominees must be an active CVT in good standing with RIVTA.
Nominees have set themselves apart by going above and beyond in the field.
Nominees must be 18 years of age or older.
Technicians may be nominated by Veterinarians, Assistants, Receptionists, Practice Managers and fellow Technicians, they do not have to be a RIVTA member.
Those nominating must use the application linked below to document how and why they feel their nominee should be Vet Tech of the Year.
