 Cat was born and raised in Rhode Island and she has been a technician since 1985 when she began her career at age 15.  She became certified in 2004 and shortly thereafter she, along with a small group of technicians founded RIVTA.  Cat has worked in multiple small animal practices as well as an emergency practice in Rhode Island and she currently works as a surgical technician at Stonington Veterinary Hospital in CT.  

Her achievements during her career include being the president of RIVTA, a past president of NAVTA and being nominated as RI Technician of the Year in 2011. Cat was the inaugural recipient of the Catherine Holly Meritorious Service Award in December of 2023 in recognition of her years of dedication to RIVTA. 

Cat resides in Charlestown with her husband Mike, daughter, Lauren and her dog, Penny and cat, Tonks.  

Fun fact about Cat:  She is a licensed lay worship leader and an ordained minister with her church!
